One thing I love about my job is the familiarity I attain of our different Kansas City neighborhoods. Here’s a glimpse of my recent visit to Westwood Hills, where I tried Annedore’s Fine Chocolates for the first time.
This retro mid-century modern “time-capsule” home just hit the market in Prairie Village. Check out the original features and huge yard. Sarah loves it!
All of a sudden, Kansas City’s favorite little charm-filled enclave of Brookside is growing and changing. Here’s a quick roundup of some of the new businesses that are now open, and news on more openings planned for the months ahead.
My pick of the week is one of a small group of mid-century modern homes located just across the street from the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City. I hope that some interesting buyer with a mid-mod obsession will come along and jazz it up. It could either go very retro Mad Men, or clean, crisp and contemporary. Check it out.
This week’s pick is a historic 1911 Colonial Revival mansion in Janssen Place, Hyde Park. Want to see it for yourself? It is currently being featured as the 42nd annual Symphony Designers’ Showhouse and is also for sale. In this post, I share my thoughts on the house, and offer links to buy tickets to the showhouse event.
My colleague will be listing a “time capsule,” mid-century ranch house on Memorial Day weekend. If you read my blog, you know I’m a sucker for original homes; it makes me feel like I’m stepping back in time. In this post, I’ve shared a few photos and details about this upcoming listing.
This recently listed Brookside home is something to behold. Built in 1936, most everything is original, but it doesn’t look worn. It has “pink potties” as I call them, and the neatest vintage kitchen with white steel cabinetry and incredible Belgian glass tile on the walls and ceiling. Take a look!
Have you ever heard of a “time capsule” home? This original condition Tudor is a great example, and it’s my house of the week.
Have a look at this extraordinary Kansas City penthouse condo. Located in The Walnuts development on the south end of the Plaza, it will sell at auction in January, 2015.
I listed this cute Brookside gingerbread Tudor style 1.5 story house a year ago and sold it fast for $224,900. Well, it is back on the market and currently listed…
