A few new discoveries to share – creative color options for kitchen appliances, a cool Brookside neighborhood video, and a native plant sale this weekend in Kansas City.
My new listing is a lovingly maintained Tudor home in Brookside with lustrous hardwoods, and a bright, open kitchen with Vetrazzo counters. Check out the photos!
This edition of my pick of the week is special – a beautiful brick Greek Revival home in Lexington, MO which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Sarah shares her pick of the week in Roeland Park which has a fun surprise in the backyard – a chicken coop!
One thing I love about my job is the familiarity I attain of our different Kansas City neighborhoods. Here’s a glimpse of my recent visit to Westwood Hills, where I tried Annedore’s Fine Chocolates for the first time.
This retro mid-century modern “time-capsule” home just hit the market in Prairie Village. Check out the original features and huge yard. Sarah loves it!
All of a sudden, Kansas City’s favorite little charm-filled enclave of Brookside is growing and changing. Here’s a quick roundup of some of the new businesses that are now open, and news on more openings planned for the months ahead.
My pick of the week is one of a small group of mid-century modern homes located just across the street from the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City. I hope that some interesting buyer with a mid-mod obsession will come along and jazz it up. It could either go very retro Mad Men, or clean, crisp and contemporary. Check it out.
This week’s pick is a historic 1911 Colonial Revival mansion in Janssen Place, Hyde Park. Want to see it for yourself? It is currently being featured as the 42nd annual Symphony Designers’ Showhouse and is also for sale. In this post, I share my thoughts on the house, and offer links to buy tickets to the showhouse event.
My colleague will be listing a “time capsule,” mid-century ranch house on Memorial Day weekend. If you read my blog, you know I’m a sucker for original homes; it makes me feel like I’m stepping back in time. In this post, I’ve shared a few photos and details about this upcoming listing.
