On Saturday, I’ll be walking in the Brookside St. Patrick’s Day Parade along with my friends and colleagues from the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kansas City Homes, Plaza Office. In conjunction with the parades, my company participates in the parade committee’s “Go for the Green” fund drive to benefit Harvesters Community Food Bank. Each dollar donated to Harvesters is a chance to win a fully assembled cedar playhouse. Read my post to learn how to make a donation and enter to win the playhouse.
After much anticipation, the grand opening for Heirloom Bakery and Hearth in Brookside is this Mother’s Day weekend. As you’ll see from this photo set, the interior is truly stunning. I am just overcome at how beautiful it turned out.
Each year, my office has a float in both the Brookside and Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day parades. We have so much fun doing it, but part of the fun is knowing we are helping others by participating in the Harvesters Food Drive. Once again this year, we’re raising money for Harvesters by selling tickets for a chance to win a children’s playhouse.
There are a few foods that I am really passionate about, and bacon is one of them. Today, I purchased a pound of house-cured bacon from The Sundry Market & Kitchen, and I must say, it was delicious. Unfortunately, I can’t share any with you, but care to see the pics?
