The Brookside St. Patrick’s Day “Warm-Up” Parade, held on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day, is one of our favorite neighborhood traditions.
On Saturday, I’ll be walking in the Brookside St. Patrick’s Day Parade along with my friends and colleagues from the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kansas City Homes, Plaza Office. In conjunction with the parades, my company participates in the parade committee’s “Go for the Green” fund drive to benefit Harvesters Community Food Bank. Each dollar donated to Harvesters is a chance to win a fully assembled cedar playhouse. Read my post to learn how to make a donation and enter to win the playhouse.
Each year, my office has a float in both the Brookside and Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day parades. We have so much fun doing it, but part of the fun is knowing we are helping others by participating in the Harvesters Food Drive. Once again this year, we’re raising money for Harvesters by selling tickets for a chance to win a children’s playhouse.
Here are just a few things that contribute to a high quality of living in Brookside: The Trolley Track Trail – Popular walking, bicycling, and running trail stretching six miles…
