SPOTLIGHT ON: Refinishing Cabinetry
My client, Lexie (an interior designer), sent this Design Sponge kitchen remodel post to me today.
I love how a white kitchen looks so clean and cheerful, don’t you? And what a vast improvement from the original yellow oak color! Painting or refinishing cabinetry in a house can make a huge difference in the value and appearance of your home. If you are thinking of painting your cabinets, I recommend having them professionally sprayed (or re-stained) instead of DIY. The finish will be more durable, it will look remarkably better, and you will save yourself loads of heartache and time. Do it and thank me later. And if you need a local vendor, State of the Art Painting did an excellent job refinishing cabinetry for some of my past customers.

I’m still so grateful for this suggestion and for the resource. From experience, painting cabinets is the most tedious of projects, and you can usually tell its DIY quality. Going the professional way moving forward.
