SPOTLIGHT ON: Lights! Period and Modern Lighting for our Classic Architecture

I realize that I just posted about this kitchen feature, but I thought the lighting resource was worth its very own blog post here on At Home in Brookside.

Isn’t it a wonderful light? It is playful without being too retro, and it is simple and uncomplicated without being too industrial. The jade/turquoise color choice gives it a vintage-kitchen vibe and is a great compliment to the white. I get so bored with seeing the same old inventory from Lowe’s and Home Depot, and I think lighting is one of those difficult things for the Average Jane and Average Joe to find. Barnlight Electric is the purveyor of this particular light, and they have many more shapes and styles for sale on their website.

Schoolhouse Electric and Supply Company is another excellent resource for stylishly illuminating our classic 20th century homes. The images below are of their New York City showroom.
