Open House at "The Midland by AMC"
The revamped Midland Theater downtown in the Power and Light district will be open tonight from 4-9pm for viewing, free admission. It is a historic theater that I always wanted to see, but didn’t… The purpose of the renovation was to add features and upgrade the technology of the theater, while still retaining its historical integrity. I think it is a great landmark in our downtown and I’m glad it is a part of the P&L, where it can lend a little history and authenticity to the district.
Thank you for letting the rest of us know. I have always wanted to take a walk through there and I think this is the perfect opportunity to do so. Hopefully I will see you there. Thanks again!
We experienced the new theater last night at the Journey concert. The sound was great; the theater itself was absolutely gorgeous, dripping with ornate glamour and old world sophistication. I didn’t see it before the renovations but it is definitely a gem in the P&L District and worth checking out.
