Kansas City Foreclosures down

My sympathy for people in foreclosure situations, and my frustration over buying and selling bank-owned properties (banks don’t know how to sell houses) makes this especially good news today. The Kansas City Star reports that Kansas City area foreclosure filings are down:

Home foreclosures in the Kansas City metropolitan area for the first half of 2009 fell 8.3 percent from the same period in 2008

Unfortunately, nationwide numbers aren’t looking so good. The article goes on to say that nationwide foreclosures are up 14.6% over the first part of 2008.
