NPR’s Featured StoryCorps comes to Brookside

I love the StoryCorps segments on NPR. They always seem to make me stop, listen, and admittedly, sometimes even cry. One of my favorites is the nationally-aired interview with Kansas City residents, Mary and David Warm. David is the Executive Director of the Mid-America Regional Council, and Mary is his daughter who has Down syndrome. They discuss their relationship and she asks him how he felt when she was born. The StoryCorps Airstream trailer is going to be parked in Brookside from September 9, 2010 to October 2, 2010 as part of its cross-country MobileBooth tour. I am looking forward to more heartwarming stories from the heartland.
