Home Design Watch: Vintage Pencil Sharpeners
Sitting on my desk is a brand new set of unsharpened pencils and a vase full of dull pencils. Sadly, I have no sharpener. Well, I suppose I could scrounge one up, but wouldn’t it be cooler if I had one of these awesome sharpeners below?

On looks alone, I am initially attracted to the turquoise panasonic. I love the sleek retro design and the color, but the prohibitive cost and the fact that deep down I really want a rotary wall-mount sharpener make the chrome style my true favorite. The metal and chrome wall-mount sharpeners look so uncomplicated and sturdy, and I love the idea of getting up to manually sharpen my pencil on the wall in my basement, which is where I will mount it. There are many options for vintage pencil sharpeners on Ebay and Etsy; this collection is from my Etsy Treasury.
