Kansas City Home Sales Prices Climb 5% in 2019

The average home sales prices for the entire Kansas City metropolitan area rose about 5% again last year in 2019. That is the same amount they rose the year prior. Will we see the same trend this year in 2020? Many experts say that prices will hold steady, but activity will continue to be robust. However, I feel that with continued low housing inventory, low mortgage rates, a strong job market, and high demand, prices could continue their modest rise. If they do, this would be the 9th year in a row of rising prices. Quite a decade we’ve had!

If you would like to know more about prices and home sales for a particular town or neighborhood in the metro, let me know. I am happy to send you sales prices for your area. I can also send you automatic alerts anytime a home in your target area is listed for sale.

In addition, if you would like more detailed information, the local association of realtors provides monthly market statistics to the public.
