Time to Bury the Term “De-Clutter”

I don’t know about you, but I believe that the word “clutter” has bad connotations. If someone told me that my house was cluttered, or that I had clutter, or that I needed to de-clutter, I would be insulted. It just sounds so… rude! So can someone please tell me why every realtor in this country uses that nasty term? How about one of these terms instead:

See? There are all kinds of nicer, more-accurate ways to say it.
